Dear Friends of the Spina Bifida Association of North Texas,
What an amazing year we’ve had! During this traditional time of joy and thankfulness, we wanted to take some time to remember all that we have been given as an organization this year.

We were able to award scholarships to four very deserving individuals with Spina Bifida, all of whom are notonly educating themselves, but bringing Spina Bifida and disability awareness to their communities.

This year we held four very successful camp programs for families, kids (ages 8-15) and adults (age 16 &above). Each camp was at maximum capacity! These programs are vital source of information and hands-onlearning for families and individuals with Spina Bifida.

We raised almost $50,000 at our Walk n Roll! AND we had over 400 people participate in the event! Wow!

Despite the downpour, our Holiday Party had almost 400 guests in attendance, including more teens and adults than ever before! Volunteers at the event were amazed at how our “family” bonded together and how polite and thankful everyone was. Thank you to all the volunteers who made this event possible!

With the help of our award winning monthly e-newsletter, website and using social media, we have been ableto cut expenses and increase awareness throughout our community. Have you Liked us on Facebook yet?

We have a new intern! With Sarah’s help, we have begun to expand our programs and spread awareness through the North Texas area among many different ages and groups.
We want to extend a special thank-you to all the families, individuals, volunteers and Corporate Sponsors who have supported SBANT this year. Together, our donors, volunteers and sponsors helped make 2011 a great year for SBANT! We couldn’t provide such strong programs without everyone’s support.
In April, I became the Executive Director for SBANT. It has been an honor and exciting to serve the Spina Bifidacommunity in this new capacity. Please know that the board and I will be working very hard to provide exceptional programs and services in 2012. We hope you have a wonderful, joy-filled holiday season and throughout the New Year. We look forward to an exciting 2012 together!
